ACH Opt Out Deposits

When creating a deposit you have the option of specifying that it is an ACH Opt Out deposit and all items in the deposit should be marked as ineligible for ACH conversion.

Remittance Deposits: In this case the customer has requested that all payments made to the remittance account be processed as checks and cannot be converted to ACH.

When the system is processing a Remittance ACH Opt Out deposit it automatically creates entries in the database for the remittance coupon account numbers. Once the account is entered in the system, either by scanning the coupon as part of an Opt Out deposit or by an administrator manually entering it (see ACH Opt Out Accounts) , you do not need to process future payments as Opt Out deposits. All future payments made to the account will be processed as Opt Out until an administrator removes the account from the system.

Non-Remittance Deposits: In this case the person who wrote the check has requested that it be processed as a check and it cannot be converted to ACH.

When the system is processing a non-Remittance ACH Opt Out deposit it automatically creates entries in the database for the checks that are scanned as part of the deposit. Once the checking account is entered in the system, either by scanning the check as part of an Opt Out deposit or by an administrator manually entering it  (see ACH Opt Out Accounts) , you do not need to process future occurrences of those checks as part of an Opt Out deposit. All future appearances of that checking account will be processed as Opt Out until an administrator removes it from the system.
